Magical Dark Skies

One of Presteigne’s most special features appears after dark. Away from bright city lights, the town enjoys dark nights, which are becoming harder to experience in the UK due to light pollution.
Here you can see constellations, planets, and even the Milky Way stretching across the sky. Presteigne and Norton became the first community in Wales to be designated as an International Dark Sky Community by DarkSky International.
